Stellar Projects was engaged by Wellington City Council to provide project management services during construction of the Aro Valley Community Centre upgrade that was undertaken by main contractors, PBJ Construction.
The works involved re-positioning the Aro Valley Community Centre to improve walking and cycling connections in the neighbourhood. An extension to the building was constructed to improve accessibility and functionality. This includes new approach spaces and ramp access, and new office, kitchen, and toilet facilities.
The renovation resulted in an improved multi-purpose facility that is better positioned for the Aro Valley community. The upgrade allows the centre to better cater for the diverse range of activities and programmes on offer.
