Improvements Project

Stellar Projects recently issued practical completion on the SH1/Tarewa Intersection Improvements Project in Whangārei.

The project involved the four laning of SH1 through Whangārei to improve traffic flow and safety and included significant utility relocations and construction of a new four lane bridge over Raumanga Stream. The project also provides a new shared path and signalised intersection improving safety and connectivity for both pedestrians and cyclists to important locations such as Whangārei Hospital, Northland Polytech and the CBD.

Due to its location the project required significant engagement and coordination with local iwi, residents and businesses.

This project was managed by our Infrastructure Delivery team who provided Engineer to Contract, Engineers Representative and MSQA services.
